American Zhu Kezhen Education Foundation

Joan Ni is the President of Suzhou-Chem Inc., a food chemical importing & distribution company in Massachusetts, and also currently serves as the President of Boston Zhejiang University Alumni Association. She has been a part of the board of directors of AZKEF since 2017.

Xiaodan Wang is the President of W&T Financial Associates, and she is a licensed and certified financial professional consultant who specializes in wealth management.

She served as the Treasurer of the North American Zhejiang University Alumni Association, and the President of both Boston and Denver Zhejiang University Alumni Associations.

Xiaodan has been a board member of the AZKEF since 2012. She previously served as Executive Vice President, CFO, and Chair of the Financial Committee of the AZKEF.

Catherine Yang is Vice President of Academic Affairs & Research at California Northstate University (CNU) and Professor of Molecular Pharmacology and Oncology at the CNU College of Medicine. She has been board member for the Foundation close to 20 years and formerly served as President, Vice President and Chair of the Scholarship Selection Committee of the Foundation.

Stephen Zhou, Ph.D, is the Vice President of Research and Development at Carl Zeiss Meditec Production, LLC (ZEISS Group) in California. Stephen has been serving the Foundation for more than 12 years, as a Board Member, Chair for the Fund-Raising Committee, and President of the Foundation.

Cheng Zhu is the Regents Professor and J. Erskine Love Jr. Endowed Chair in Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has been a board member of the Foundation since late the 1990’s and previously served as the Chair of the Scholarship Selection Committee, President, and Chair of the Advisory Board of the Foundation.

Erping Zhu joined the University of Michigan 20 years ago and is the associate director at the U-M Center for Research on Learning and Teaching (CRLT).

Geng Wang is a Research Fellow and Steering Committee Member of Counsel of Principles & Fellows in Momentive Performance Materials – A Global Silicone Manufacturing Company. He has been board member for the Foundation for 2 years and also serves as Chair of Industry Relations Committee.

Dr. Lu is a Professor at the University of Connecticut. He was awarded a Simons Fellowship from the Simons Foundation in 2015 and was elected as a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society in 2017. 

Dr. Lu served as a member of Michigan Governor’s Advisory Council on Asian Pacific American Affairs (2005-2009) and was appointed by Michigan Governors for multiple terms as a Commissioner of Michigan Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission (2009-2016) until he moved to Connecticut in 2016.

Dr. Lu has served as an Election and Scholarship Selection Committees Chair and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foundation.
